Since all I found was LIVE versions, then I uploaded the music video. Also, the solo that sounds like a bagpipe was actually an Ebow which makes the strings move electromagnetically, similar to the sound of using a bow on the strings. Enjoy!

Queen - Under Pressure (Live At Wembley Stadium 1986)
Posted by Admin in Videos01 7th, 2009

"Under Pressure" is a 1981 song by Queen and David Bowie. It marked Queen's first released collaboration with another recording artist, and is featured on their 1982 album Hot Space. The song was a hit at the time, reaching #1 in the UK singles chart. The song evolved from a jam session the band had with Bowie at its studio in Montreux, Switzerland, therefore it was credited as co-written by the five musicians. According to Queen bassist John Deacon (as quoted in a French magazine in 1984), however, the song's primary musical songwriter was Freddie Mercury — though all contributed to the arrangement. An earlier, embryonic version of the song without Bowie called "Feel Like" is widely available in bootleg form. Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor have credited the bass riff to Deacon; Bowie also said on his website that the bassline was already written before he became involved. Bowie had originally come to the studios in order to sing backing vocals in another Queen song, "Cool Cat," which would end up being edited out since he wasn't satisfied with them. Once he got there, they jammed for a while and wrote the song. Very nice song sung by the great Freddie Mercury and nicely played by Queen.

Sarajevo Under Siege - Bosnia
Posted by Admin in Videos01 7th, 2009

August 1992 A remarkable report filmed during the Bosnian coflict. We travelled with a convoy over the mountains to besieged Sarajevo in war-torn Bosnia to film UN peacekeeping forces moving in to secure the runway at Sarajevo airport, inside Serbian territory. On the outskirts of Sarajevo, where families survive on little more than nettle soup, ordinary people say they need someone who will make peace - not keep the peace. A Bosnian Croat major tells of how small groups of fighters are verging on banditry. Meanwhile Serb artillery shells pound the suburb of Dobrinja. A damaged mosque illustrates the conflict. Includes footage of the airport under siege.

Under the ruler faster than the ruler
Posted by Admin in Videos01 7th, 2009

Another model demonstrating the principle of the cart that moves down wind faster than the wind. Inspired by some ideas posted on the discussion at forums.randi.org, I made a simple cart that is propelled underneath a moving surface, faster than that surface. The large wheel, turning against the direction of movement of the ruler, is very similar to the propeller of the wind-powered cart, turning against the wind.
Men at work: Land down under!!!! (One of their best songs!!)
Posted by Admin in Videos01 7th, 2009

Does anybody else notice the Koala plushie? The lyrics by many requests. Travelling in a fried-out combie On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said, Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover. Buying bread from a man in brussels He was six foot four and full of muscles I said, do you speak-a my language? He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich And he said, I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover. Lying in a den in bombay With a slack jaw, and not much to say I said to the man, are you trying to tempt me Because I come from the land of plenty? And he said, Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover.

An infectious film about microbes, money and medicine. One of the most controversial illnesses in the history of medicine, Lyme disease may be the fastest growing infectious disease in the United States. Yet each year thousands are misdiagnosed - many of them told that their symptoms are "all in their head." This upcoming documentary investigates the shocking human, medical, and political dimensions of Lyme disease, an emerging epidemic destroying countless numbers of lives. A case study of the dangers of the confluence of money and medicine, the film brings into focus a haunting picture of our healthcare system and its inability to cope with a biological terror under our skin. Christmas Under Fire (1941)
Posted by Admin in Videos01 7th, 2009

Despite the Blitz, it's 'business as usual' as England prepares for Christmas in this propaganda film intended for US audiences. It's a Christmas of holly and barbed wire, guns and tinsel, yet the British, we are told, are determined to make it as cheerful as possible. "England is fighting for her life", asserts the American narrator, but it is admiration rather than pity that the film seeks to evoke. The filmmakers achieve this with emotions bigger than most 10-minute films could contain, as we watch plucky Londoners creating a subterranean Christmas on Underground platforms and the choristers of King's College sing their hearts out. While no doubt intended to encourage US support in the War, 'Christmas Under Fire' ultimately offers a portrait of a nation "unbeaten, unconquered and unafraid".
