Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal Moonwalker 1988 In my many, many years, I have watched literally thousands of hours worth of unique music video footage, and I have to say, that without any doubt, the nine and a half minutes that make up the "Smooth Criminal" music video, still to this day, stands as some of the most enjoyable. Definitely one of the best five music videos ever made, and without any doubt, Michael Jackson's best. Oh, and the song is pretty good too. "Smooth Criminal" is one of my favorites of all time, and I hope that you enjoy the video.

Bulletboys video for "Smooth Up In Ya" - These guys were billed as the next Van Halen, but never really got the recogninition they deserved. The music stands the test of time though! This is one of those tunes that true rockers will never let go!

FRED ASTAIRE in SMOOTH CRIMINAL Starring Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, Leslie Caron Choreographed by Michael Kidd 'Smooth Criminal' by Michael Jackson Video edited by CFJ I love both Astaire and Michael Jackson. I want young people to know Astaire stuff, that is why I made this. The video features scenes from the Girl Hunt ballet in The Band Wagon (1953) starring Astaire and Cyd Charisse (those supreme legs!! The most perfect body a woman could have. So sensual, so elegant), to which MJ gave homage in his Smooth Criminal vid (also in a performance of Get Happy on the Jacksons show in the 70s as well as You Rock My World in 2001), and, as an intro, a sequence from Daddy Long Legs (1955) featuring Leslie Caron (in motion pictures, you mustn't put a coin into a jukebox in an ordinary way!). My initial idea was using also Yolanda And The Thief (1945) where Astaire appeared with the same costume, a white suit, hat and a blue shirt, but I eventually omitted it. Michael Kidd worked with Janet in the Alright vid in 1990, featuring Cyd Charisse (in the red dress!), the Nicholas Brothers and Cab Calloway. If you want to see Astaire at the top of his game, watch his 30s and early 40s films (Ginger Rogers was not the best DANCE partner for him though. She was a great comedienne. The pair was more than just dance partners). REST IN PEACE TROY DIXON AKA TROUBLE T ROY!!! HISTORY OF THIS SONG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Reminisce_Over_You Trouble T Roy From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Troy Dixon (October 19, 1967 -- July 15, 1990) was an American dancer known as "Trouble T Roy", and a member of the hip-hop group Heavy D & The Boyz. Dixon died on July 15, 1990 when he fell twenty feet from a balcony after a concert in Indianapolis, at 22 years of age. Dixon was immortalized in "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)", a 1992 song by rap duo Pete Rock and CL Smooth. Trouble T Roy is mentioned on the A Tribe Called Quest song "Vibes and Stuff" when Q-Tip dedicates the song to him. Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth "The Creator"

Posted by Admin in Videos
01 7th, 2009

This is a video for "The Creator" from Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's 1991 debut EP "All Souled Out".

01 7th, 2009

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth were an influential rap group from Mount Vernon, New York. They made their debut in the rap world with their 1991 EP, All Souled Out. It sold moderately well enough to justify Elektra Records clearing the way for 1992's Mecca and the Soul Brother LP. As a producer, DJ Pete Rock (Peter Phillips) tended to prefer obscure soul and jazz sides for sample sources, frequently making use of horn-driven hooks. Lead vocalist CL Smooth (Corey Penn) tended to be philosophical in his raps, and he mostly avoided profanity. Their signature hit was They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.), a dirge for fallen friends--namely Troy "Trouble T-Roy" Dixon, a member of Heavy D & The Boyz, who died in 1990. 1994's The Main Ingredient was the follow up, and they appeared on a string of guest appearances for remixes, soundtracks, and other works. Public Enemy, EPMD, Heavy D and Johnny Gill were among the artists they collaborated with, and they can also claim credit for producing (and performing on) Run-DMCs 1993 comeback single 'Down with the King'. Despite all this, the duo failed to go gold on any of their own releases. Separating in 1995 (shortly after a well-received Sprite TV commercial), they eventually reunited on a handful of cuts from Pete Rocks solo recordings: Soul Survivor (1998), PeteStrumentals (2001) and Soul Survivor II (2004). They also went on a brief reunion tour as a warm up for their then-anticipated new album, which ended with a show at London's famous Jazz Cafe. Despite these intermittent collaborations, the pair has exchanged dismissive comments toward each other in separate interviews, disavowing plans for a full-fledged reunion.
